We are thrilled to announce that RJ Richey Elementary achieved an outstanding 96.06% attendance rate this month, earning them a well-deserved banner to proudly display on their campus.

📢 Burnet CISD will dismiss 30 minutes early today Friday, May 2, 2025 due to the weather and its potential impact on student dismissal. We are committed to the safety of our students. Storms are predicted to be active throughout the District this afternoon. Please begin preparing for picking up your child(ren) 30 minutes earlier than normal dismissal. Bus routes will run 30 minutes earlier than normal. All activities scheduled to take place within BCISD boundaries are canceled tonight. YMCA afterschool care is also canceled.

Burnet CISD is pleased to welcome Dr. Jennifer Caropepe as the new principal of Burnet Middle School, after the Board of Trustees confirmed her hiring in a special meeting on Thursday morning.

Burnet CISD is thrilled to announce that Virginia “Ginger” Kassell has been named the new principal of Shady Grove Elementary. The Board of Trustees confirmed her to lead the campus in a special meeting on Thursday morning.

Recognitions at the April School Board meeting included Students of the Month from both Quest and Burnet High School, and FCCLA Students competing at State.

This week we celebrate our amazing VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools)!

BHS Interact Club is collecting shoes for Soles4Souls again this year. Donations can be dropped off at any Burnet CISD campus and at Central Office.
