Here is part of the message from Superintendent McBurnett:
"I miss that we are not all gathered in the same auditorium right now, but what I do love about tonight, is that our families are joining us in the celebration- which is typically not possible. That is the silver lining for tonight, and I want to challenge all of us to find the silver lining in everything we do this school year- even as we face known and unknown challenges ahead.
Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians Chapter 2 Verse 10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” In other words, you were made for this, and that is our theme for the 2020-2021 school year, Made for This.
You were made to make a difference in the lives of our students. You were made to CRAFT the FUTURE. You were made to be a Burnet Bulldog. You were made for Burnet CISD. Whatever your role, you were made for this. Whatever the challenges that are ahead of us, you were made for this. You were made for the 2020-2021 school year. God bless each one of you, this community, and our school district."
