School District across Texas participate in activities in honor of International Holocaust Day (January 27).
Burnet Middle School students engaged in a week long study during their advisory period learning the history of the Holocaust from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Students also learned the importance of standing up for their school and community when hate or bigotry is shown.
Through the end of February, BMS advisory classes will also have the opportunity to visit a traveling exhibit from the Nancy & David Wolff Holocaust & Humanity Center titled: "Bystander to Upstander: The Power of One During and After the Holocaust." The exhibit will be in the BMS library through February 19.
