The race was very close for the majority of laps. Around the 6th lap Hudson and a few others began to separate and towards the last 200 meters and thru the home stretch he kicked it into another gear passing the remainder of the field for the victory!
Later that day he also ran in the 1600, seeded 6th and once again he made his way on the medal stand with an AMAZING performance finishing in 3rd place and breaking another SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 4:23.96! What is the most impressive about his mile is that fact that he ran a 59.94 for his final lap which was faster than anybody in the field ran any lap at any point in the race by more than 3 seconds! This shows how much toughness and grit Hudson truly has.
Anybody who has been around Hudson knows how great of a person he is and how driven, hard working, selfless he is. We are so happy and blessed to be able to coach such a great individual. We are also overwhelmed by how much support he has from the students, staff, parents, booster club, community. Thank you all so very much for showing true Spirit, Pride and Honor in supporting our student athletes.
