Once a week for six weeks the group met during advisory. The senior girls started the group out with lots of get to know you activities, connections, and building the group to trust each other. The girls stayed in communication with the group through a google classroom and they met on topics such as public speaking, affirmations, giving advice and just bringing the girls together through kindness and love.
The senior leaders knew the group was a success when the girls would be waiting at the door on Wednesday mornings for their power hour. This will definitely be an ongoing group and continue to grow leaders and positive influences at Burnet High School.
