This afternoon, bus driver Esther Ybarra stopped at my house around 6:30 to inform me that a cow in my pasture on CR 202 was chewing a large piece of plastic. To bovines, plastic can be deadly. Mrs. Ybarra had already driven her route and taken her bus to the parking area in Burnet. Then she used her private vehicle to drive 8 miles back to my house to warn me of the potential danger to the cow. Following our conversation, she drove at least another 8 miles to return to Burnet. This lady deserves some type of recognition for her kindness and community relations.
We agree! Kudos to Esther for truly going the extra mile in service for one of our community members! And if you know her, you know that Esther always has a smile to share!
