Gems of Appreciation

"Mr. Vann was nominated for consistently going the extra mile to help students and staff. His hard work is always steered toward the success of our students by teaching life-long skills to all students. He seeks to find ways to instill Spirit, Pride, and Honor in all students by supporting a multitude of programs including being a key advisor for BHS FFA.

"Riki is an awesome teacher who sparks curiosity in science. She connects with her students and is always in communication with parents. As a co-worker, Riki knows when we need encouragement. She knows when we need new ideas to try and knows the students and their background.

"Caitlyn goes above and beyond for her team and her students. She is always volunteering for new or upcoming events, planning lessons, or staying late to ensure that students succeed.

"I have witnessed the driver of Route 123 and her interactions with the elementary kids on her bus. On several occasions, both morning drop off and afternoon pick up, she helps the small students both on and off the bus. She greets each one with a smile and a hug.

"Sandra is dedicated to the Food Service Department and the the students she serves. She is always willing to take on additional job tasks and does it with a smile. Our department is thankful to have her!"

"Guy came to work this past summer as a Diesel Mechanic. No matter what time of the day, Guy is always ready to help. One evening, I asked him to check out the oil gauge on my bus.

"Curriculum Secretary Becky Everett always has a smile on her face and ready to help anyone who comes in the office. Her voice is cheery when she answers the phone and make sure parents, staff, or community members have their questions answered when the conversation ends.

"Mrs. Druell comes to work with a smile on her face and greets all staff and students in the hallways. She is kind, cheerful, and takes great pride in her work. She has made a real impact at Shady Grove with all her students and in such a short amount of time. She has been an incredible contribution to the SGE family."

"Chef Erickson has dedicated many hours to BHS and his students since his arrival. Just a few things he has implemented since his arrival include the awesome Bulldog Bistro, which serves award winning menus to the community, and he is working with students to plan the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony."

"Megan joined our campus this year where she teaches in one of our Lifeskills classrooms. She has been a tremendous asset and we have seen the confidence level and success of students soar!"
