School Safety and Security
School Safety Message From Superintendent
At Burnet CISD, the safety and security of our students and staff are our top priorities. We have robust protocols for emergencies, including fire drills, lockdowns, and active shooter situations. Our staff is trained in active shooter response, and we work closely with local law enforcement to maintain and update our Emergency Operations Plan.
Each campus has secure entryways, a Raptor Visitor Management System for screening visitors, and security cameras accessible to police in emergencies. We also have School Resource Officers stationed at key campuses and communication systems in place to ensure quick response during emergencies.
In the event of a school-wide emergency, please refrain from going directly to the school. The District will promptly communicate where parents should go for reunification, which could be Hill Country Fellowship (200 Houston Clinton Drive) or another location depending on the situation. Updates will be shared via our Facebook page, website, and School Messenger.
We are committed to continuously improving our safety measures to ensure our campuses are secure environments where students can thrive. Your support and vigilance play a crucial role in this effort.
