On Monday, February 3rd, the town of Bertram celebrated Donkey Day at Bertram Elementary. The annual tradition is a rendition on Ground Hog’s day.

Members of the Highland Lakes Retired Teachers Association recently spent a day at Burnet High School registering eligible students to vote.

The BHS swim and dive team members are headed to the Region 5-5A Championship Meet in College Station.

RJ Richey students were recently treated to a fun and motivational visit by author Michael Finklea. Mr. Finklea spoke about how he worked hard to become an author, and how he had multiple times of “failure” before he succeeded.

Burnet CISD Campuses participated in the Martin Luther King Day of Service by volunteering with various projects and services for their school, our community members, local businesses and first responders.

As you might know, January is School Board Recognition Month. This year's theme is "Launching the Next Generation". Monday's Board Meeting was a great time to let the Board know that they truly are "Out of This World!"

Over 60 artists from Kindergarten through 12th grade were recognized for their artwork during the Commissioners Court meeting recently.

The Burnet CISD School Board Trustee Election will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Two places will be on the ballot this year: Place 3 – currently held by Suzanne Brown, and Place 7 – currently held by Mark Kincaid. These are three-year terms.

The Hill Country Community Foundation is proud to provide access to the history of Bertram High School and Burnet High School by digitizing the yearbooks of both high schools. Today, the Foundation is announcing the release of yearbooks from 1947 - 1951 for Bertram High School and the yearbooks from 1942-1951 for Burnet High School.
