The winners of the BCISD Christmas Card Contest were recognized at the December Board meeting. The entries came from Burnet Middle School this year.

Senior Avery McCrory has been awarded an academic scholarship to Austin College. Avery recently signed her commitment to swim for their Division III swim program in front of her family, teammates, coaches and administrative staff.

The Burnet CISD School Board Election will be held Saturday, May 2, 2020. Two places will be on the ballot this year: Place 3 – currently held by Suzanne Brown, and Place 7 – currently held by Mark Kincaid.
These are three-year terms.

The seventh annual Join the Journey Safe and Drug Free Wellness Fair will be held Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Burnet Middle School Auxiliary Gym.

It is with great pride that Burnet High School announces Clint Mulhollan, Burnet VFW 6974 winner of the Smart/Maher Teacher of the Year Scholarship for High School level, has now won the Texas VFW District 14 level award, and is advancing to the State Level.

The Bertram Turkey Trot on Friday, November 15th was a great success. Not only did students have fun running, dancing, and playing, but they donated over 1 ton of food to the Bertram Food Pantry.

With the holidays soon approaching, the Food Service department thought it would be a good time to encourage students to make healthier choices when snacking.

Jazlyn Marvin and Mitchell Howard were recognized at the November Board Meeting for receiving a letter of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program for their outstanding performance on the PSAT.

Burnet CISD will close for the Thanksgiving holidays November 25-30. Classes will resume on Monday, December 2. We wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving enjoying special time with family and friends.
