Safe Stop App Coming Soon! Burnet CISD Transportation is excited to provide an update for the Safe Stop App! As a reminder, the Safe Stop App will allow you, as parents, to monitor the progress of your child's bus and will predict an arrival time to the designated bus stop.
AVID Program Reaches Milestone August 30, 2017 is a milestone date for the AVID program in Burnet CISD. On August 30th, the first AVID Seniors submitted their college applications. “Their confidence and college ready skills are impressive. I am beyond proud of their work ethic and leadership skills,” said BCISD AVID Coordinator Jill Castillo.

Burnet FFA Students Donate Filled Backpacks During the BCISD Back to School Convocation, FFA President Ellett Vann and Vice President Marc Barnett presented 40 backpacks filled with school supplies to Superintendent Keith McBurnett.
HEB Surprises Teachers Steve Williamson, Burnet Store Director, and Amy Vann, Administrative Assistant, delivered a total of 200 lunch bags full of snacks to the staff at Quest High School, Burnet Middle School, and Burnet High School.
BCISD Board of Trustees Votes to Lower Taxes On Monday, August 21 the BCISD Board of Trustees voted to reduce its I&S tax rate to 0.24 per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation for the 2017 tax year. This represents a 4 cents decrease from last year for a total tax rate of $1.28.
Ready to Roll... School Resource Officers Larry Lamb and Brandon Bertelson are ready for the 2017-2018 school year. Officer Lamb will primarily be assigned to Burnet High School. Officer Bertelson will primarily be assigned to Burnet Middle School.

Burnet CISD and All Campuses Met Standard Accountability Ratings from the Texas Education Agency were released on Monday, August 14. Burnet CISD and all BCISD campuses received a 2017 Accountability Rating of Met Standard.
