The Burnet CISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Rick Gates as Girls Coordinator /Head Basketball Coach. Gates joined Burnet CISD this year as the Burnet Boys Basketball Varsity Assistant and Head JV Basketball Coach. He is also the Head Girls Golf Coach at BHS/BMS.

May is probably the busiest month of the school year. End of year activities are scheduled for just about every day of the week.

During the week of February 6-10, Burnet Middle School participated in the Start with Hello program from Sandy Hook Promise. BMS is now being nationally recognized for exhibiting the highest level of student involvement and ownership of the program.

The Burnet High School UIL Social Studies Team has won a State title, finishing first at the recent UIL State meet.
