In recognition of all of the hard work and effort put forth by staff in preparing for the first day of school, Burnet CISD treated all staff members to a snow cone on Monday!

During Convocation, the Burnet CISD staff had the opportunity to hear from Muriel Summers as she inspired and launched the District on its journey of implementing The Leader in Me process in the 2022-2023 school year.

Meet the Bulldogs is an opportunity for our student athletes participating in fall sports to be introduced to the community. The event will take place at the Burnet High School Gym on Monday, August 15. A hotdog meal will be provided at 6:00 p.m. in the Foyer and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, August 3rd, BCISD held our annual Pastor Prayer Breakfast in the Board meeting room at Central Office. Many of our local Pastors came together in fellowship and prayer as we prepare for our 2022-2023 school year. Many pastors also had the chance to sign up to give the invocation at each future Board meeting.

New Teacher & Staff Breakfast and Welcome was held on Friday, August 5th at BHS Cafeteria and Auditorium. Everyone enjoyed breakfast, Mojo's coffee, Bingo and a fun photo booth! The Booster Club was also set up, so that our new staff members could grab some Bulldog spirit gear. We are happy to welcome over 100 new teachers and staff to BCISD!

Burnet CISD once again received a perfect score of 100 and a Superior rating, the top rating possible, for the 2021-2022 Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST). This is each district’s “Financial Report Card” from the state. The purpose of the FIRST rating is to ensure that school districts and open-enrollment charter schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and achieve improved performance in the management of their financial resources. The Administration will provide an overview of the FIRST rating at the October 17 Board Meeting.

The first day of school for students is Wednesday, August 17, but we are making plans now! Class assignments, schedules, bus routes, food service, and more cannot be finalized for students if they are not registered for school.
