The Bertram Chamber of Commerce delivered lunch to the Bertram Elementary staff members during the September 25th Staff Development Day.

This week, each of the six BCISD campuses have been engaging in activities reflecting the Start with Hello campaign.

As part of Dave Campbell's Texas Football season-long celebration of UIL 100 Years of Football, Burnet vs. Marble Falls has been nominated as being one of the Top 100 rivalries in the history of UIL Texas High School Football.

During the week of October 13 through 16, Burnet High School students will participate in the statewide campaign focusing on post-secondary education opportunities.

Spirit, Pride and Honor is celebrated at R. J. Richey Elementary each six weeks by recognizing students from each homeroom who exemplify these characteristics.

For the 5th year, Burnet Middle School is celebrating "Start with Hello" week with its students and staff. Start with Hello, a program from Sandy Hook Promise, teaches students to look out for classmates who are socially isolated and help them feel included.

Shady Grove students have started this school year off with some engaging activities, including the Varsity football players "virtually" reading books to them on Fridays!

Monday, October 12 is a student holiday and a staff development day. Classes will resume a regular schedule on Tuesday, October 13.

Things felt a little more normal at the September Board meeting as Students of the Month were recognized in person for the first time in more than six months.

To further support teacher learning, planning, and work during the 2020-2021 school year given the challenges of COVID, the Board of Trustees approved revising the school calendar by changing two student instructional days to two student holiday/staff development days. The two days are Friday, November 13 and Monday, January 18. Students will not attend school on these days unless they are required to be used as make up days.
