The Board of Trustees approved Bertram Elementary principal Jennifer Simpson as the new Coordinator of Special Programs. Simpson will finish the school year as principal of Bertram Elementary and begin her new duties in June.

The Lady Dawgs Basketball Team took on a good Fairfield Team Friday night. The game was tight through 3 quarters, but the Lady Dawgs were able to pull away in the 4th quarter for a 50-33 win!

The Burnet Bulldogs have completed the district season in second place with a record of 9-3. They are headed to Bi-District Playoffs against the Caldwell Hornets.

Burnet McDonald's owner Maria Lim and other McDonald representatives were guests at a recent BHS pep rally where they presented BHS student council officers with a $10,000 check for winning the Lovin School Spirit hashtag contest.

TEA will be conducting a series of focus group meetings targeting district leaders, families, teachers and service providers, and students to address findings from the the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs report requiring TEA to develop a plan to address four corrective actions.
