Several BCISD staff members have been recognized by the Picayune Newspaper's Locals Love Us Awards.

Brent Kelley’s sophomore AVID class at Burnet High School exhibited Spirit, Pride and Honor during December, when they chose to adopt a family for Christmas. While the Masonic Lodge in Lake Victor donated a swing set and Christmas meal, the students, utilizing their own money, purchased everything on the family’s list, plus additional gifts the students wanted to add on their own.

BCISD has many events scheduled for the month of February. It is kind of like a buffet - there is something for everyone to enjoy!

BHS Seniors Ellett Vann and Reid Burton have been named to the THSCA Academic All-State Football Team.

January is School Board Recognition Month. BCISD Board members and their families joined the school administrators for food and fellowship before the January 22nd regular meeting.

During the January 22 meeting of the BCISD Board of Trustees, the Board approved the Burnet CISD Strategic Plan. To learn more about the plan go to Strategic Planning under the District tab found at the the top of the homepage.

The Burnet CISD School Board Trustee Election will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Three places will be on the ballot this year: Place 2 – currently held by Angela Moore, Place 4 – currently held by Jeff Hullum, and Place 6 – currently held by Robby Robertson. These are three-year terms.

Burnet CISD is proud to partner with Opportunities WBC to provide a District building in order to house Head Start and Meals on Wheels in Burnet.

Each year, the six BCISD campuses selected one of their teachers to be recognized as the Educator of the Year. These teachers are recognized at the annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet, where the district-wide Educator of the Year is announced.
