National School Counseling Week 2023: “School Counselors: Helping Students Dream Big.” We want to say “Thank You!” to the Burnet CISD counselors and the unique role they play within our schools. Our counselors help students dream big, and we are thankful for their tireless efforts.

R.J. recently celebrated every Bulldog’s progress, growth, and achievements for the first semester of the 22-23 school year with a Growth Parade.

Today Bertram Elementary welcomed Meteorologist Carlo Falco with Fox 7 News. Mr. Falco presented to 4th and 5th Grade students about the science of weather. Mr. Falco also shared his journey to becoming a Meteorologist and the important role of Math and Science in his work. Students had an opportunity to "Ask the Expert" questions that they had encountered in their study of weather and the water cycle.

Shady Grove Elementary has been chosen to be a site for the Education Connection program. This organization has been around since 2009 and the goal is to connect community members with students to encourage a love of reading! The volunteers are from Hill Country Fellowship Church, and each volunteer goes through training, has a background check and is Burnet CISD approved before they are matched with students. . Students read to and with their volunteer reading buddy every week!

January 23 - January 27, 2023

The BHS Bulldog Bistro hosted the Rotary Club of Burnet for lunch on Wednesday, January 18th. The Bistro is a training facility and classroom that lets the culinary students practice their passion on their guests.

The Burnet CISD Gifted and Talented program in conjunction with the the BHS Band held an "instrument petting zoo". Students were able to experience instruments up close and hands on. The high school band students and directors volunteers their time and made this even a huge success!
