Spring is just around the corner and the Burnet Middle School Greenhouse classes are ready to get some beautiful plants and vegetables in your hands!

The Spirit, Pride, and Honor Leadership Team presented to district and campus staff the work they have been engaged in this year to define and create mental models of what Spirit, Pride, and Honor is, and how it can be taught and experienced at all campuses PK-12.

Open to the public for observation on 3/7/22 at 4:00 p.m.

Spirit, Pride, and Honor is often easier "seen" than described. The BHS teaching staff each chose a student that walks the walk of Spirit, Pride, and Honor on a daily basis. These 53 students were recognized at a special breakfast this past Tuesday.

BHS students Benjamin Johnson, Jacob Johnson, and Sydney Shaffer were honored at the February Board Meeting for receiving the College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition Award.

As of the February 18 filing deadline, only the two Board of Trustee incumbents up for election filed for the May 7 School Board Election. Those filing include Earl Foster in Place 1 and Andy Feild in Place 5. Since both incumbents are running unopposed, the Board will approve a resolution in March canceling the May 7 School Board Election.

The Board of Trustees approved the 2022-2023 School Year Calendar at Monday's meeting. Given the challenges of education during and after the pandemic, the Administration proposed a calendar that attempts to balance the needs of teachers with the needs of families to plan ahead for non-student days.

The Board of Trustees approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) # 2 for Bertram Elementary in the amount of $9,229,740 at the February 21st Board Meeting.

The Bertram Chamber of Commerce Inaugural Banquet included the recognition of two Bertram Elementary staff members.
