Construction on the Student Activity Center located at the corner of Third Street and Bulldog Stadium Drive is scheduled to begin next week with the installation of construction fencing and a job trailer. This work will impact day-to-day operations.

Bertram Elementary students have been focused on setting goals in reading and math throughout the first semester. Teachers and students have been working together to select areas of improvement and to keep track of gains in learning.

Monday, January 3rd is a staff and student holiday.  There is a staff planning day on Tuesday, January 4th.  Students return to class on Wednesday, January 5th. Happy New Year!

The Bertram Elementary students that were chosen as the top three Christmas card design winners were recognized by the Board at the December meeting.

Congratulations to the BHS Students of the Month, QHS Student of the Month, the College Board Recognition Program Scholars, and the 4A UIL State Cross Country Meet Runners who were all recognized at Monday's Board Meeting.

"A goal-getter, simply put, is someone who continuously sets and consistently accomplishes their specific goals." Every Six Weeks at Bertram Elementary, students and teachers are working together to set goals for learning.

At Monday's Special Meeting, the Board of Trustees approved revisions to the 2021-2022 school calendar to include three additional non-student days.

Students in Mr. Lucky's class at Burnet High School raise the American and Texas flags each morning and then take the flags down at the end of the school day. The students take great pride in this daily task, and in fact, consider it an honor.  Rules and standards are followed as they raise, lower, and fold the flags.

BHS Students of the Month, UIL State Gold Medalists, and BHS Band Director Andrew Hicks were all recognized at the October School Board Meeting.
