As of the February 18 filing deadline, only the two Board of Trustee incumbents up for election filed for the May 7 School Board Election. Those filing include Earl Foster in Place 1 and Andy Feild in Place 5. Since both incumbents are running unopposed, the Board will approve a resolution in March canceling the May 7 School Board Election.

The Board of Trustees approved the 2022-2023 School Year Calendar at Monday's meeting. Given the challenges of education during and after the pandemic, the Administration proposed a calendar that attempts to balance the needs of teachers with the needs of families to plan ahead for non-student days.

The Board of Trustees approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) # 2 for Bertram Elementary in the amount of $9,229,740 at the February 21st Board Meeting.

The Bertram Chamber of Commerce Inaugural Banquet included the recognition of two Bertram Elementary staff members.

There will be no school on Monday, February 21st. This will be a planning day for teachers.

Congratulations to BCISD's outstanding Campus Educators of the Year who were recognized at the Burnet Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet.

Burnet High School Seniors Ryan Behrens, Madelynne Jones, and Jaxon Gonzales were recognized at Saturday's Chamber Banquet as nominees for Youth of the Year.

The ninth group of honorees were inducted to the BCISD Hall of Honor at the Burnet Chamber of Commerce Banquet this past Saturday night. Superintendent Keith McBurnett introduced each of the honorees as the BCISD Board of Trustees presented the awards.

On this Groundhog Day, Pawnee the Donkey visited Bertram Elementary. Pawnee chose to eat oats over sweet oats, which represents a prediction of an early spring!
