This year’s BCISD Educator of the Year is a teacher who is very well known for the amazing connections she is able to make with her students. Her passion is teaching students, and she fosters a love of knowledge in her students by first and foremost loving them and providing a classroom climate of acceptance, love, an open heart, and high expectations.

Beginning Monday, February 22 Bulldog Stadium Drive will be closed to through traffic. The entry to Bulldog Stadium Drive off Graves Street (963) will be barricaded and closed. The entry to Bulldog Stadium Drive off Third Street is reserved for buses, and access to the Field House, the BMS Staff Back Parking Lot, and the RJ Richey Elementary Staff Back Parking Lot.

The Esprit de Corps was recognized at the February School Board Meeting for "Bringing Home the Bronze"!

The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call for a school bond election on May 1, 2021. The 2021 bond program is a response to the 2020 bond election, which was cancelled due to concerns over COVID. The May 2021 bond would help the District prepare for student enrollment growth, take advantage of lower construction costs and interest rates, and protect and preserve the daily operating budget.

In 2019, The Texas Legislature passed an Act designating the week of January 27th as Holocaust Remembrance Week , honoring the liberation of Auschwitz, the largest and most lethal concentration camp in the Nazi regime.

Each month during the school year, Johnson Sewell Ford Lincoln recognizes a BCISD teacher who has had perfect attendance since the beginning of school.
