After getting to know students the first few days of school, Friday allows teachers to make adjustments in the classroom, and plan for the first six weeks based on the specific needs of students.

Each year, the Texas Education Agency assigns accountability designations for public school districts and campuses, based primarily on standardized testing scores. Burnet CISD earned an accountability rating of “B” – Recognized Performance, based on data from the 2018-2019 school year.

The Texas Education Agency released the preliminary financial accountability ratings on Friday, and Burnet CISD received a Superior rating.

The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call for a bond election on November 5, 2019. The election is for one proposition totaling $33.1 million. The Board of Trustees will meet again on August 26 to approve a tax rate decrease of 7.5 cents for the 2019-2020 school year.

On Friday, August 9, the BCISD Transportation Department held its second annual BCISD Bus Road-E-O at the Burnet County Fair and Rodeo Grounds. The event consists of multiple maneuvers which tests our drivers' skills and knowledge.
