Goal 2 of the Burnet CISD Strategic Plan states, "Burnet Consolidated ISD will implement a safe and positive culture of spirit, pride, and honor for all staff and students." In response, the Goal 2 Strategic Planning Committee has created campus posters that establish common definitions for what Spirit, Pride and Honor means in Burnet CISD.

This 6 weeks, Second Grade students at Shady Grove began implementing Jeff Anderson's Patterns of Power strategies to improve the use of conventions in writing.

Congratulations to Terry Jacko, BMS Custodian, for being presented with the Service Above Self Award from the Rotary Club of Burnet!

The Board recognized the top three artists in the BCISD Christmas contest at Monday's meeting. Superintendent Keith McBurnett presented Noemi Mendoza (3rd place) and Paige Adams (1st place) with a special certificate and monetary prize.

Burnet Middle School students were recognized for their artwork on Tuesday, December 11th by Judge Oakley and the County Commissioners.

Mrs. Laidler and the Bulldog Crew recently brought Phoenix the Owl to BHS to help spread awareness about conservation.

There is no sleeping in or taking a day off for stock show participants. Come out and support our young people January 3-5 at the Burnet County Fairgrounds for the 2019 Burnet County Livestock Show.

All Burnet CISD campuses and offices will be closed through January 7. Classes resume for students on Tuesday, January 8. We wish all of you a safe and happy new year.

BCISD Parent Volunteer Coordinator, Mrs. Darlene Denton presented “A Very Marley Christmas” to all Bertram Elementary Students. With the help of some Quest High School students, she brought her own dogs to provide some excitement to the presentation.

Kurt Jones, who has served as Athletic Director/Head Football Coach for Burnet CISD since 2012, will now serve as full time Athletic Director, as the District splits the duties into two separate positions.
